The commission shall require each applicant for an original license to pay the required application fee. Fees are set by the commission in amounts reasonable and necessary to cover the costs of administration:

Horse Tracks:

• Minimum fee for a Class 1 (number of days and dates for live racing per calendar year determined by Commission in county with population of not less than 750,000). Application is $15,000 - Limit 4.
• Minimum fee for a Class 2 (entitled to live racing 60 days, more or less days determined by Commission). Application is $7,500.
• Minimum fee for a Class 3 (operated by a county or nonprofit fair, live racing not to exceed 16 days in a calendar year). Application is $2,500.
• Minimum fee for a Class 4 (operated by a county fair under § 12.03, live racing not to exceed 5 days in a calendar year). Application is $1,500.

Dog Tracks:

• Minimum fee is $20,000.

Application fees for both types of tracks must be cashier's or certified check. Applicants must post bond in amount determined by the commission.
