Description


Currently the fee is set to zero through 9/1/2017. 

Originally, the nonbypassable fee was set by the commission not to exceed 65 cents per megawatt hour. The commission could set the fee necessary to collect sufficient revenue to fund rate reduction programs, customer education, and the school loss funding mechanism provided in § 39.901.

Beginning 9/1/2013 the fee was set at zero.
