To record payments made for damages or other authorized claims paid by state agencies from revenues collected and deposited in trust funds or from other funds appropriated for that purpose. After processing and approval by the agency, these claims must be paid for purposes specifically authorized in statute.

This code includes, for example, manufactured housing damage claims paid under Chapter 1201, Subch. I, OCCUPATIONS CODE, from funds appropriated for that purpose.

This code should not be used for payment of claims arising from judgments or settlements under TEX. CIV. PRAC. & REM. CODE ANN. §§ 101.023, 104.003, and 110.001 (see 7225, 7226, 7227, 7228, 7229).
