To transfer monies remaining in the General Revenue account to unappropriated General Revenue after all payments for the Medicaid Uncompensated Care (UC), Upper Payment Limit (UPL), and Disproportionate Share Programs have been made to state and non-state hospitals.

The Disproportionate Share Program was transferred from the Texas Department of Human Services, Agency 324, to the Texas Department of Health, Agency 501, by H.B. 7, 72nd Leg., 1st C.S., effective 9-1-93. The Disproportionate Share Program is currently operated by Health and Human Services, Agency 539, per H.B. 2292, 78th Leg., R.S., effective 9-1-04.
