Description


To record tuition rebates from Institutions of Higher Education to qualifying undergraduate students as authorized in TEX. EDUC. CODE ANN. § 54.0065.

Expenditure code 7696 includes, but is NOT limited to:

  • Rebates - Tuition
  • Tuition (undergraduate rebates)


Notes


This code does NOT include:

  • Non-Cash scholarships, fellowships, waivers or exemptions (7583)

RESTRICTED: This code may be used only by Institutions of Higher Education from educational and general funds held in the treasury. Fund 0001 or institutional funds may NOT be used to pay tuition rebates.
