Description


To record payments by the Teacher Retirement System, Agency 323, for retirement benefits. Payments may include retirement annuities and death benefits paid from the Teacher Retirement System Trust Account to system retirees. Additional death benefits may be paid by authorized agencies out of their respective funds.


Notes


RESTRICTED: This code may be used only by Teacher Retirement System, Agency 323, Texas School for the Blind and Visually Impaired, Agency 771, Texas School for the Deaf, Agency 772 and Texas Education Agency 701.

This code does NOT include payments made by the:

  • Employee Retirement System (7081)
  • Judicial Retirement System (7082)
  • Emergency Services Retirement System (7084)

Trust payments for operating expenses are charged to normal expenditure codes for these items.
