Expenditure Object 7203 – Registration Fees - Employee Attendance at Seminars and Conferences

To record payment of registration fees and related expenses for seminars and conferences attended by state employees and officials.

Expenditure code 7203 includes, but is NOT limited to:

• Mandatory meal and lodging expenses (when packaged with a registration fee)
• Reference materials (included with seminar or conference registration fees)
• Registration Fees (employee- seminar / conference)
• Tours (tied to state business) when packaged with a registration fee

This code may be processed as a purchase transaction, or may be processed as a travel transaction whenever an employee is reimbursed for registration fees paid while the employee is travelling.

This code does NOT include:

• Tuition (7202)
• Memberships and dues (7201)
• Travel expenses (must be submitted on State of Texas Travel Voucher)
• Books (7382)
• Training for state employees (7243)
