Description


To record the payments of authorized insurance premiums not requiring prepayment approval by the State Office of Risk Management as authorized by law. This code includes premiums and deductibles paid by the Teacher Retirement System of Texas as authorized by TEX. GOV'T CODE § 825.103, 825.112; and deductibles paid by the Employees Retirement System as authorized by TEX. GOVT. CODE § 811.008

Expenditure code 7244 includes, but is NOT limited to:

  • Insurance Premiums and Deductibles -- No Approval Required


Notes


This code does NOT include:

  • Payments requiring approval by the State Office of Risk Management (7204)
  • Payments requiring approval by the Attorney General and Department of Insurance (7216)
  • Judiciary insurance (7622)
  • Car rental insurance for travel (7101)
  • Collision damage waiver for employee move (7071)

RESTRICTED:  This code may be used only by the following agencies Teacher Retirement System, Agency 323 and Employees Retirement System, Agency 327.
