Description
To record payments made to retailers for retailer commissions. Pursuant to TEX. GOV'T CODE § 466.358, the commission amount shall equal no less than 5% of the retail price of tickets sold.
Expenditure code 7260 includes, but is NOT limited to:
- Lottery Retailer Commission
Note
This code does NOT include:
- Service fee paid to lottery operator (7206)
- Retailer incentive bonuses (7207)
RESTRICTED: This code may be used only by Texas Lottery Commission, Agency 362.
Prior to 9-1-07, retailer commissions were recorded with retailer bonuses under object code 7207 -- Lottery Incentive Bonus.
