Description


To pay for the short-term or long-term rental or lease of motor vehicles. This includes passenger and non-passenger vehicles, heavy equipment that qualifies as a vehicle (e.g. dump trucks) and vehicles rented with drivers.

 

Expenditure code 7442 includes, but is NOT limited to:

  • Automobile (rental -- long or short term)
  • Bus (rental or charter)
  • Motor Vehicle (rental)
  • Rental (auto -- long or short term)
  • Rental of Bus (Charter)
  • Truck (rental)


Notes


Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) is payable. Safe Driver and PAI is not payable.

This code does NOT include:

  • rental of motor vehicles by state employees while conducting official business in travel status (7101, 7111)
  • reimbursement or direct payment for the rental of a self-service vehicle used for employee relocation (7071)
