Description
To record payments to meet disaster-related necessary expenses or serious needs of individuals or families adversely affected by a major disaster that cannot otherwise adequately be met from other means of assistance. Generally these grants are issued as a result of a disaster declared by the president of the United States. For distribution of disaster grant funds, the Governor may designate in the state emergency management plan the Health and Human Services Commission, Agency 529, or another state agency, to carry out the functions of providing financial aid to individuals or families qualified for disaster relief.

RESTRICTED: This code may be used only by the Governor -- Fiscal (Agency 300), the Governor's Office (Agency 301), the Health and Human Services Commission (Agency 529), the Department of Aging and Disability Services (Agency 539), the Parks and Wildlife Department (Agency 802), the Comptroller -- State Energy Conservation Office (Agency 907), or other agencies identified by the Governor.
