Purpose

Established outside the treasury as a trust fund with the comptroller and administered by the board, as trustee, to maintain and preserve the Capitol, General Land Office Building, their contents and grounds. Consists of legislative transfers, interest earned and transfers from the Capitol fund accounts other than money: donated to the board, derived from a security or thing of value donated to the board, or earned as interest or other income on a donation, if after the transfer there will be sufficient money in the account of the Capitol fund to accomplish the purposes for which the account was created.  May transfer money from the fund to any account inthe Capitol Trust fund to be used only for the same purposes as the Trust Fund.
