Purpose

This account is created in General Revenue to record receipts from special "Go Texan" license plates, legislative appropriations, and gifts and grants. Annual fee, in addition to other fees of $30. Deposit $22 to this account and the remainder to the State Highway Fund (0006). Money in the account to be used only for activities promoting the sale of Texas agricultural products. The department may use an amount NTE $5,000 in a fiscal year to purchase food and beverage refreshments at "Go Texan" promotional events.
