Purpose

Account in the General Revenue Fund for revenue from the sale of plates designed in consultation with the Texas Bicycle Coalition Education Fund that include the words "Share the Road" and an image of a bicycle. Additional $30 annual fee. Deposit $22 to this account and remainder to the State Highway Fund (0006). Used by the Texas Education Agency to support certain nonprofit organizations promoting bicycle safety, education and access.

Also receives revenue from sale of "God Bless America" and "God Bless Texas" plates. $32 of $40 fee deposited to this account and remainder to State Highway Fund (0006). 25% of amount collected may be used to market and promote the Safe Routes to School Program and TEA may use funds to secure federal matching funds for safe routes to school and obesity prevention.
