Purpose

At the time a private beauty school pays its annual renewal fee, department shall collect additional fee for deposit into this account NTE $200 per year. Department shall determine amount of the fee by applying a percentage to each school's annual renewal fee at a rate resulting in collection of $200,000 in the first 3 years of collection. Beginning 1-1-92, fee shall be collected for 3 years. If on 1-1-95 or January 1 of any subsequent year the amount in account is less than $200,000, commission shall collect a fee during that year at a rate that will bring the balance to $200,000. Expenses incurred to train a student who was enrolled in a closed school and placed in a school under this section shall be paid from the account. If the student cannot be placed, tuition and fees shall be refunded, NTE $35,000.
