Purpose

To receive monies appropriated by for use or in aid of water development, water conservation, water quality enhancement, or flood control. Gifts/grants from United States Government, local or regional governments, private or other sources may be deposited in the fund. Money is transferred to the Loan Fund (0481), Storage Acquisition Fund (0482), and Research/Planning Fund (0483) for specific purposes. Invested in the same manner as the Water Development Fund. Contains the Rural Community Water and Wastewater Loan account within the fund to hold transfers, proceeds from the sale of political subdivision bonds and loan repayments of loans to rural communities for construction, acquisition or improvement of water and wastewater projects.
