Purpose

Consists of fees related to permitting, monitoring, inspecting anthropogenic carbon dioxide injection wells, implementing and enforcing rules, penalties and interest. Used for inspecting, monitoring, investigating, recording and reporting on geologic storage facilities and associated injection wells. Also used for remediation, repair, well plugging, training and technology transfer, compliance and enforcement.
