This fund is established with the treasury in the Uniform Statewide Accounting System (USAS) to facilitate processing and reporting of certain expenditure through USAS. Used to distribute amounts from the Historic Infrastructure Sustainability Trust Fund held at the Texas Safekeeping Trust Company outside of the state treasury.

The Trust Company shall manage and invest the fund and determine amounts available for distribution. The board may request distributions annually from the fund for the purpose of maintaining, preserving, rehabilitating, and restoring historic sites under the commission’s control and the historic courthouse preservation program.

The commission may not use annual distributions to pay salaries, benefits, administration, operating, or program cost, or purchase historic sites or unrelated capital equipment.
