Origin:

Purpose
Fund outside of the state treasury held by the Comptroller and administered by the commission. The fund consists of, gifts, grants, donations, and money from any source designated by the legislature.
Used to provide grants for development of emerging technologies, research, workforce training for any aspect of exploration and space flight. Also for curation of post-mission materials and spaceport infrastructure development. Funds may be used to cover costs incurred under intergovernmental agreements between the commission and another state or the United States.
Grant eligible entities include businesses, nonprofits and government entities involved in space exploration, research, or aeronautics.
