Created in 1965 by TEX. HUM. RES. CODE ANN., ch. 101 to receive federal funds for use in accordance with H.B. 3708 of the 89th Congress, First Session, Title III. Administered by the Texas Department on Aging, Agency 340. Department abolished by H.B. 2292, 78th Leg., R.S., and duties transferred to the Department of Aging and Disability Services, Agency 539.
