The fund consists of legislative transfers, gifts, donations, grants, interest and federal amounts received for improving and modernizing state information resources.
The fund may be used to improve and modernize state agency information resources, including legacy system projects and cybersecurity projects. Amounts from the fund may not be used to replace or reduce the appropriations to a state agency for the purposes of operating and maintaining information resources.
