2005 by S.B. 1253, S.B. 1605, 79th Leg., R.S. under Local Government Code 398.007 as a local trust fund. If a special event plan approved and host community selected as the site of a special event, comptroller shall deposit amount requested in the special event plan from state tax receipts as soon as practicable after the taxes are collected. Trust fund is outside the treasury held in trust by comptroller and may be disbursed without appropriation. Money used only for a public purpose event to pay certain event expenses. Fund repealed by S.B. 633, 84th Leg., R.S.
