Created in TEX. LAB. CODE ANN. § 403.006 in 1947 to set aside money paid to the Texas Workers' Compensation Commission by workmen's compensation carriers on the death of covered employees when no person entitled to compensation survives such employees. Used to pay lifetime benefits after a subsequent injury, to reimburse insurance carrier claims and to pay assessment of feasibility and develop regional networks. Recreated in H.B. 3378 and exempted in H.B. 3318, 78th Leg., R.S., as an account in the General Revenue Fund.
