Created in 1981 by TEX. GOV'T CODE ANN. ch. 403 to provide temporary depository for funds to be transmitted to payee accounts in financial institutions electronically. Used to aggregate amounts for retiree annuity payments handled by Teacher Retirement System, Employees Retirement System and other retirement systems. Money held in this account transferred into the fund concurrently with processing of vouchers containing payees who have elected to participate in direct deposit system.
No longer utilized, inactivated in 2002.
