This fund is established with the treasury in the Uniform Statewide Accounting System (USAS) to facilitate processing and reporting of certain expenditure through USAS. Used to distribute amounts from the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline Trust Fund held at the Texas Safekeeping Trust Company outside of the state treasury.
Money deposited in the trust fund may only be used to implement, maintain, or improve the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline, including personnel and technological infrastructure improvements necessary to achieve operational and clinical standards and best practices. The trust company shall hold and invest the fund which may be invested with the state treasury pool with other state assets for purposes of investment.
