To record fees to establish peer assistance programs designed to help professionals impaired by chemical dependency on drugs or alcohol or by mental illness.

Fees include:

• Surcharges of not more than $10 added to license and renewal fees by certain licensing/disciplinary authorities.
• Fees of not more than $50 per month from participants in a peer assistance program collected in addition to the surcharge by the State Board of Dental Examiners to fund an approved program and related administrative costs.

Upon payment of the fee.

Prior to September 1, 1990, fees included with licensing revenue objects used by various agencies.

Dental Examiner fee formerly deposited to Dental Registration Fund Account 0086, abolished August 31, 1995 per § 403.094, Government Code.
