Description
Military specialty plates include those relating to branch of service, medals and citations, conflicts, and military academies. Certain plates for extraordinary service such as Medal of Honor, Navy Cross, Silver Star and others require no fee (504.315). No fee is generally charged for license plates for branch of service or wars/conflicts. The following plates require a $3 fee:
- Survivors of the attack on Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941.
- Recipients of the Purple Heart.
- Disabled Veteran (see separate revenue code 3014 subtitle).
- Commendation Medal with Valor
- Military Outstanding Volunteer Service Medal
