Description

A person may not conduct a cemetery or crematory business in this state unless the owner or operator registers with the commission and pays the fee. The commission by rule shall establish the fee, which must include the cost of regulating registrants, including discipline and complaint investigation. Renewal fees paid annually. If registration expired over 30 days, must re-register.

To renew a crematory establishment license, a report must be filed with the renewal fee. A $100 per day late fee shall be imposed if the report is not filed.

As set by the Commission.

Notes

This does not apply to perpetual care cemeteries regulated under chapter 712, Texas Health and Safety Code.
