Description

Solid waste disposal fee is 94 cents per ton received for disposal at a municipal solid waste landfill if measured by weight. For compacted solid waste, 30 cents per cubic yard. For non-compacted solid waste, 19 cents per cubic yard. Permit fee for sludge or similar waste applied to the land for beneficial use set between $1,000 and $5,000. Comparable fees may be charged for other means of solid waste disposal.
 
Fee may not be charged for scrap tires deposited in a designated recycling collection area or for source separated materials composted at a facility. Compost used at the facility is not exempt from the fee. Annual registration fee for a transporter of municipal solid waste shall be reasonably related to volume or type of waste transported. Registration fee charged is between $25 and $500.

66.7% of the revenues are dedicated to the commission's municipal solid waste permitting and enforcement programs and support activities and 33.3% to local/regional solid waste projects.

A person may not apply Class B sludge on a land application unless they have obtained a permit and paid a fee of not less than $1,000 or not more than $5,000 (deposited to GR Fund 0001).

The commission shall charge an applicant a $2,000 application fee for a permit for a municipal solid easte facility (deposited to GR Fund 0001).
