Description


The comptroller shall establish and administer a system of training, continuing education, and certification for state agency purchasing personnel, political subdivision or other public entity purchasing personnel. The comptroller shall set and collect a fee from state agencies that employ purchasing personnel in an amount necessary to recover costs. The Comptroller may establish and offer appropriate training to vendors on a cost recovery basis.

The comptroller shall offer purchasing and contract management training programs and classes. The comptroller may assess a fee to recover the costs associated with these programs.

The comptroller may assess up to $50 per person fee for training appraisal review board members, property tax arbitrators, and other individuals.
