Description

In addition to authorized fees, the clerk of a district court, statutory county court, or county court shall collect a $42 civil suit filing fee to be used for court-related purposes for support of the judiciary.

H.B. 11, 79th Leg., 2nd C.S. moved fees and costs to Local Government Code. Ch. 133.

S.B. 600, 80th Leg., R.S. increased filing fees from $37 to $42 (133.154) and court cost from $4 to $6 (133.105).

H.B. 3167, 80th Leg., R.S. repealed Government Code, Secs. 101.062, 101.083, 101.123, and 102.022.

$6 fee under Government Code sec. 133.105, repealed by S.B. 346, 86th Leg., R.S. effective 01/01/2020.
