Description

An insurer shall pay a fee equal to $5 multiplied by the total number of motor vehicle years of insurance for insurance policies delivered, issued for delivery or renewed by the insurer. Sixty percent of each fee is deposited to GR Account 5111 and the remainder to undedicated GR Fund 0001.

Penalty imposed on insurer for delinquient fee payment of 5% and an additional 5% if over 30 days. Sixty percent of each penalty is deposited to GR Account 5111, 20% dedicated to the Motor Vehicle Crime Prevention Authority (agy 368) and 20% to undedicated GR Fund 0001.

Due Date

Annually; by March 1 for a policy issued July 1 through Dec. 31 of the previous calendar year, by August 1 for a policy issued from January 1 through June 30 of that year.
