Description


Fines for offenses designated as Parks and Wildlife Code misdemeanors or felonies. Fines may be for violations of:

  • Any game, fishing, commercial fishing, sand, shell and gravel regulation.
  • Texas Water Safety Act.
  • State parks regulations.

Fines and penalties vary according to nature of the violation.

  • Class C Misdemeanor , $25 - $500.
  • Class B Misdemeanor,  $200 - $2,000. 
  • Class A Misdemeanor,  $500 - $4,000. 
  • State Jail Felony, $1,500 - $10,000.
  • Felony, $2,000 - $10,000.
  • Corporations pay amount fixed by the court up to $20,000 for a felony and up to $10,000 for a Class A or B misdemeanor.
