Revenue Object 3366 – Business Fees – Natural Resources – Water Well Pump Installer

Fees charged for licensing of water well pump installers and apprentices registration. Set by the department for administration. Fees to renew expired licenses are between 1-1/2 to 2 times the normally required renewal fee.

Civil penalty for violation of act provisions of any sum between $200 and $1,000 for each day and for each act of non-compliance (collected under revenue object 3717). Administrative penalty may be up to $5,000 per day (collected under revenue object 3770).

One or two years as determined by commission rule.

Previously administered by the Water Well Drillers Board (581), abolished September 1, 1992 by S.B. 2, 72nd Leg., 1st C.S. Program transferred to the Texas Natural Resources Conservation Commission (582).

Previously deposited to GR Account -- Water Well Drillers (0079). The account was abolished by H.B. 3231, 75th Leg., R.S., effective September 1,1997.

Program transferred from the Texas Natural Resources Conservation Commission (582) to the Department of Licensing and Regulation by S.B. 1955, 75th Leg., R.S.

S.B. 279, 78th Leg., R.S. increased administrative penalty to $5,000.
