Description

A person may not engage in activities for weather modification and control without a weather modification license and a permit. Fee for license and permit are set by the department.

Due Date

At time of application; licenses expire at the end of the state fiscal year for which it was issued.

Formerly collected by Texas Natural Resource Conservation Commission under § 18.054, Water Code. This section of the Water Code was repealed by the 77th Leg., R.S. and created under Section 1.34 and 1.38, Article 165c, Vernon's Texas Civil Statutes by S.B. 1175, 77th Leg., R.S.

S.B. 279, 78th Leg., R.S. repealed Sections 1.34 and 1.38, however H.B. 3507 of the same session recodified these sections under Agriculture Code 301.104 and 301.108. H.B. 3167, 80th Leg., R.S. abolished both 301.104 and 301.108. These sections set a license at $150 and a permit at $75.
