Fees are set by the Department. Current rates and further details may be found on the Texas Parks and Wildlife Web site.

Shrimp Licenses (A portion of shrimp boat licenses are deposited to the Commercial License Buyback Subaccount in GR Account 0009 per sec. 47.041).

Oyster shell recovery and replacement program added by S.B. 932, 82nd Leg., R.S., fees to be deposited to the oyster shell recovery and replacement program account within GR Account (No. 0009). Sub-account and fee dedication exempted by S.B. 1588, 82nd Leg., R.S.

Surcharges on gulf, bay, and bait shrimp boat licenses previously deposited to GR Account 5023 - Shrimp License Buy Back. H.B. 1724, 85th Leg., R.S. abolished GR Account 5023 and transferred balances and revenue to the Commercial License Buyback subaccount in GR Account 0009 – Game, Fish, and Water Safety.

20% of oyster license fees set aside for the commercial oyster boat license buyback program added by H.B. 51, 85th Leg., R.S.
