Description
A person may not operate an off-highway vehicle on a trail or in a recreational area established by the department or other public land, or on land under a grant program under § 29.008 without obtaining a decal. The fee is $8 or amount set by the commission, whichever is more. Exempted are persons acting on behalf of the U.S., a state or political subdivision or participating in a search and rescue operation.
For limited operation of an off-highway vehicle on a highway, the TxDMV must issue a license plate and may charge a fee up to $10.
