Description


The Secretary of State may charge fees for filing financing statements under the Uniform Commercial Code. The fee is $60 if the financing statement is in connection with a public-finance transaction, manufactured-home transaction, or the debtor is a transmitting utility. The fee for filing, indexing, and furnishing filing data about a statement of master assignment or amendment is $500 plus 50 cents for each financing statement covered by the master statement in excess of 50. All other financing statement filing fees are $15 if two pages or less and $30 if three pages or more. Fee is $5 for filing online.

Filing and indexing a utility security instrument, a utility security instrument amendment or a name change, merger, or consolidation is $25.

Information requests from the Secretary of State on these filings is $15.

Secretary of State collects $25 for indexing and filing each business assumed name certificate and $10 for each statement of abandonment of use of an assumed name.

Fees associated with registering trademarks and service marks (application fee, renewal fee, recording fee) are set by Secretary of State.
