Description
Permit fees levied on persons engaged in movement, distribution, or sale of milk or milk products.
Fees due every two years are:
- $200 for a producer dairy farm.
- $800 for a processing or bottling plant.
- $800 for a receiving and transfer station.
- $200 for a milk transport tanker.
Monthly, quarterly, semiannually or annual fees according to amounts due by the plant are:
- 4-1/2 cents for each 100 pounds of milk processed or distributed in Texas, or processed by an out-of-state plant and sold in Texas.
- 1-1/2 cents is charged for each 100 pounds of dairy products processed by a processing or bottling plant in Texas.
Due Date
Every two years renewable not later than September 1st of the year the permit expires or as set by the executive commissioner, depending on the type of fee.
