Revenue Object 3562 – Health Related Professional Fees – Marriage and Family Therapists

Fees established in amounts reasonable and necessary to cover administrative costs for issue, renewal, exams and other authorized programs.

Late renewal before 90 days is 1 ½ times renewal fee. 90 days - 1 year is 2 times renewal fee. Over one year must obtain initial license.

Administrative penalty up to $5,000 per violation (collected under Revenue Object 3770). Civil penalty is up to $1,000 for each day of violation (collected under Revenue Object 3717).

S.B. 200, 84th Leg., R.S. transferred program from Department of State Health Services (537) to the Health and Human Services Commission (529) under Government Code sec. 531.0201.

H.B. 1501, 86th Leg., R.S. repealed 9/1/1993 limit on fee amounts and transferred program from Health and Human Services Commission (529) to the new Behavioral Health Executive Council (510) by Aug. 31, 2020. Fees recodified to Occupations Code, Ch. 507.
