Created in Human Resources Code § 42.057 on September 1, 1997 by H.B. 155, 75th Leg., R.S. to require a director, owner or operator of a childcare facility or family home to submit required information when listing or registering the facility/home. Department of Human Services used the information in conducting background and criminal history checks and required payment of a fee in an amount to cover administrative costs. Repealed September 1, 2001 by H.B. 1178, 77th Leg., R.S.
