Added in 2003 by H.B. 2971, 78th Leg. R.S. in TEX. TRANSP. CODE ANN. § 504.509.  Specialty plates for holders of an amateur radio station license issued by the Federal Communications Commission and who operates receiving and transmitting mobile amateur radio equipment for a $10 fee. The plates include the person's amateur call letters. Formerly § 504.509 changed by H.B.2357, 82nd Leg., R.S. to § 504.415 effective 1-1-2012.
