Added in 1991 by H.B. 220, 72nd Leg., R.S. TEX. TRANSP. CODE ANN. § 504.312 (formerly § 502.264). Special plates including the words "Vietnam Veteran" for no additional fee for persons who served in the United States armed forces during the period beginning on February 28, 1961, and ending on May 7, 1975, in the case of a veteran who served in the Republic of Vietnam during that period; or the period beginning on August 5, 1964, and ending on May 7, 1975, in all other cases.
