A person may not act as a metal recycling entity unless registered and pay a fee for issuance of certificate of registration.

Renewal fees: if expired 90 days or less, 1-1/2 times renewal fee; if expired more than 90 days but less than 1 year, 2 times renewal fee; if expired more than 1 year, must reapply.

Administrative penalty of up to $1,000 for violations of Ch. 1956. $25,000 penalty for failure to exercise due diligence in purchasing copper or brass material. Both collected under revenue object 3770.
