Description


A person may not act as an automobile recycler or salvage vehicle dealer without a license or an independent motor vehicle dealer's general distinguishing number issued under Transp. Code Ch. 503. Application must be accompanied by an application fee. License may be renewed annually by payment of the required renewal fees.

Fees set by commission to cover cost of administration. If license has expired, the person may renew by paying the following fees: 90 days or less -- 150% of renewal fee, 91 days to one year -- 200% of the renewal fee, one year or longer -- may not renew, must obtain original license.
