The department shall conduct field inspections of vegetable plants to ensure proper packaging and handling and certify, prior to shipment, the plants are free from infection and insect infestation. Certificate tag or stamp shall be firmly affixed to each container or bundle of plants at point of origin for shipment of the plants. Department shall set and charge an inspection fee.
An additional fee, as set by the department, shall be paid by a person applying for certification of sweet potatoes.
Certification due prior to harvest; fee at time of application.
