The Attorney General's Department may make parent locator, child support collection, or paternity determination services available, including administration of the Federal Parent Locator Service for the enforcement or determination of child custody in cases of parental kidnapping, to an individual not otherwise eligible for the services upon application of the individual.
A reasonable application fee and costs may be assessed for the services under rules and regulations developed by the Department. The Title IV-D Agency may charge a reasonable application fee, charge a $35 annual or $3 monthly service fee and recover costs to the extent permitted by federal law for services rendered in collection of support to certain recipients.
