Description


Fees used for grants by the Court of Criminal Appeals to entities providing court security training.

Two fees are charged under Local Government Code sec. 133.151 for filing the following in district court, statutory county court, statutory probate court, or county court:

  1. $137 for filing any civil, probate, guardianship, or mental health case, and
  2. $45 on any other action.

Section 133.151 also includes a $21 fee for filing a civil case and any other action in a justice court.

Of these fees, GR Account 0540 – Judicial and Court Personnel Training receives: receives:

  • 3.6497% of the $137 fee,
  • 11.1111% of the $45 fee, and
  • 23.8095% of the $21 fee.


Due Date


Remitted to the comptroller quarterly.



Collecting Agencies


  • Remitted to comptroller by local courts.



Notes


S.B. 41, 87th Leg., R.S. repealed $5 civil action filing fee (Government Code sec. 51.971).
