Description

(1) (§2054.353) The department shall administer a common electronic system using the Internet through which a licensing authority can send licenses, receive applications and receive payments electronically. The department shall charge a fee to cover costs and may charge a fee for each transaction and a subscription fee paid by each licensing authority.

(2) (§2054.380) The department shall set and charge a fee to each state agency receiving a service from a statewide technology center in an amount to cover direct and indirect costs of providing the service. Revenue may be appropriated to department for developing statewide information resources technology policies, and for planning and providing shared information resources technology services.

(3) (§2059.151 and §2059.152) The department shall develop a system of billings and charges for services provided by the Texas Cyber Command in operating and administering a network security system.

(4) (§2157.068) The department may charge a reasonable fee to a state agency, political subdivision of this state or governmental entity of another state that purchases commodity items through the department in an amount sufficient to recover costs associated with administration. Revenue may be appropriated to department for developing statewide information resources technology policies, and for planning and providing shared information resources technology services.
