Description


A government-operated utility is a governmental body defined in § 552.003, Government Code that provides water, wastewater, sewer, gas, garbage, electricity or drainage service for compensation. Customers may request utility not to disclose personal account information by delivering appropriate request. Utility may charge fee not to exceed administrative costs of complying with confidentiality request. Texas government bodies should deposit these fees utilizing this revenue object.
